All sorts of proverbs proclaim time will heal everything. Wounds. Broken promises. Heartbreak.

Except fifteen years and thousands of miles haven’t resolved anything for Destiny Evans when she returns to her childhood hometown. Especially when she runs into Miles Huntington. Her former best friend. Childhood crush. The one person she believed would never hurt her.

No amount of success, accolades, or money could have prepared Miles for Destiny’s return. Or her cold shoulder and bitter attitude toward him. But with time on his side, Miles slowly pushes past her stink eyes and sarcastic remarks, hoping to reconnect with the one person who stole his heart all those years ago.

As Destiny and Miles’ present friendship blooms with new possibilities, past secrets and old rivals threaten to destroy everything between them.

Destiny hesitated, her hand on the door handle. She knew that any conversation with Miles could be unpredictable, but something in his eyes told her that this was important. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and invited him in.

  • Destined for Love is a friend’s to lovers possible second chance romance between Destiny and Miles. A great story of a lost long friendship and the chance encounter to bring people back together. Destiny and Miles had a great slow burn with one another. I enjoyed the book, but let me tell you two people in the story where really rocking my nerve if I could jump through the book I would kick them both in the throat. I also think Destiny jumped to conclusion when she was younger, but Miles how dare you think those things 😡. The story definitely made you feel a few different emotions great job.

  • Thank you to Hazels Booktours for this book. This is a great second chance contemporary romance.

Destiny and Miles were childhood best friends who drifted apart however learned that the drifting was because of meddling people. Destiny moves back to town and runs into Miles. They realized the spark was there and worked to repair their friendship and soon more. Candy and Caroline do everything they can to keep them apart. I loved the cattiness from Candy and how Miles was blind to it. It really added to the story.

  • What a feel good book! Destiny, Lila and Miles have been friends since Kindergarten. Fast forward to High School when Destiny’s Father announces that they are moving. Destiny and Miles try to remain friends, but the vicious Candy gets in the way, causing Destiny to say goodbye to Miles forever – or so she thinks. Fast forward to adulthood, when Destiny returns to her hometown to work at the local bakery. She quickly finds out that Miles still resides there and owns a business of his own. They quickly reconnect, all while Candy is still in the picture. Will Candy get in the way of it all, or will she leave Miles and Destiny alone?

If you love Hallmark movies with a little bit of drama mixed in, you will greatly enjoy Destined for Love! It is a clean romance book with fade to black scenes. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good, laid back read.
