I ruined a man’s life because I trusted the wrong person.

That mistake turned my name radioactive.

Vegas forgives risk, not failure—and I learned fast that loyalty only goes one way when you’re the daughter no one ever wanted. Rosebud Investigations kept me alive, off-grid, and untouchable…

Until the Shadow Brides called with a contract I couldn’t refuse.

One year. One groom.

Dante Valera—owner of Obsidian, king of Vegas, and the man who hates me most.

He needs me to save his empire. I need him to help destroy my mother.

Attraction doesn’t make us allies.

Danger doesn’t make us enemies.

Marriage doesn’t make us safer. It makes us lethal.

He might own the city. But I own the game.

I’m Opal Greer.

And when I gamble, I never fold.

THE DAMAGED BRIDE is a dark contemporary enemies-to-lovers romance set in the glittering city of Las Vegas, featuring forced proximity, an arranged marriage, and morally gray characters. With high-stakes power plays and dangerous alliances, it’s perfect for readers who crave ruthless ambition, electric chemistry, and relationships where love is as lethal as betrayal.

This book can be read as a standalone, but The Shadow Brides is best enjoyed in order.

“You want to be the king? Then stop acting like a man scorned. Handle your wife—or she’ll handle you.”

  • I really enjoyed reading this. This book grabbed me and kept me reading until the last page. It moves along at a really great pace making for an easy read, has great characters that you will love and a story that will not disappoint. This is a book that needs to be read, no doubt about it.

  • Opals, a tough, take charge, no dealing with bullshit woman is hired to fund the reason for Dante’s issues by being his wife. A contract bride. She goes toe to toe with him and then some. He thinks he needs to have control for her to do her job, but she has him beat at every turn and is usually a couple steps ahead of him. She sees the truth before him and can’t get it through his thick skull to see reason until later than needs to be. The chemistry these two can have if they would stop fighting is crazy. Such a good story. Highly recommend to anyone.

  • My first time reading this author and I ended up finishing it in one sitting because I was so hooked. The storyline was really interesting and kept me turning the pages.

Opal was my favorite — she’s strong, smart, independent, and a total badass. Dante was super protective, and even though their relationship moved pretty fast, I still enjoyed their chemistry and dynamic.

I also loved the friends and family moments because the side characters added so much to the story. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I’m excited to read more from this author!
