I took the job at Dravenmoor Estate because I needed to disappear. No one looks twice at the help, especially not in a place where the walls whisper and the past is buried deep.

But Elias Dravenmoor sees everything.

He’s the heir to a crumbling legacy and a house full of locked doors—and he’s as magnetic as he is impossible. There’s something dangerous in him, something that calls to the parts of me I’ve tried to silence. I came here to escape my life, not step into someone else’s nightmare.

The longer I stay, the more I realize something is deeply wrong. And Elias isn’t just part of it—he’s tangled in whatever darkness lies at the heart of this place.

In this estate where people vanish without a trace, love might be the most dangerous risk of all.

Passion. Betrayal. Secrets. Welcome to Dravenmoor—where nothing is as it seems.

THE KEEPER’S SECRET is a gothic romance featuring dark secrets, a brooding hero, and forbidden love set in a crumbling estate. Blending an age gap, a haunted past, and simmering tension, it’s perfect for readers who love atmospheric settings, slow burn romance, and relationships shadowed by mystery and danger.

Her excitement is infectious, and as I study my reflection, I feel a flicker of something unfamiliar. This isn’t just makeup. It’s a transformation. And for the first time, I don’t feel like just Amara the maid. I feel… powerful.

  • Sara never disappoints with her character development and her in depth descriptions of people, places and things. This story was so mysterious and intriguing I couldn’t put it down. Amara, Elias and Claude are all such vivid and special characters in their own way. This book is unique and is a must read. Loved it!

  • Loved this book!! I received the ARC in return for an honest review. I was a little nervous at first since it was considered Goth genre, but I quickly learned that it wasn’t what I was imagining.
From the first page, I couldn’t put this book down! I stayed up late reading this one. Loved the dual POV – those are always my favorite. Sara did a magnificent job with the character development. Just when I thought I had a character figured out, they would surprise me!
If you like romance with mystery, this book is for you!

  • I don’t even know where to start with the story. Author Sarah Mcclaflin does an outstanding job developing the characters in the story. I cannot count how many times, I caught myself laughing out loud and tears swelling up in my eyes. The story starts off immediately at a fast pace with the main FMC Amara catching her fiance having an affair. From there the reader follows Amara’s journey to figure out what she’s going to do with her life. Deciding to become a live-in-made leads her to self-discovery and the development of a possible tense romance. The plot twists in this story will have you shaking your head and your jaw dropping. The story is fast paced with a slow burn romance. I can’t say enough about this book only that it needs to be added to your TBR.
